About

Hi, I’m Matt Jukes. I’m from Bristol. (I mean properly from Brizzle.)

I’m co-founder of the in development Eventstreams with Stefan Goodchild and organiser of the Be Bettr conference.

I write about how education and public sector organisations are coping with the open web and how things like unconferences, hackdays and social networking are disrupting the world of conferences and events.

I have held various roles at JISC over the course of almost seven years and have also worked for the ESRC, HEFCE and Becta in a variety of digital related roles. I also spent a year working for Jiva Technology, a start-up in Bristol as a Product Manager working on Beanbag Learning and Tutorhub.

I am a fan of real ale and know far more about DC comics than is probably healthy :)
