BackPass is a collaborative platform that helps Local Authorities and trusted partners share donated tickets with Young People aged around 10 to 25 who are in care or have left care. We exist to remove barriers to culture, sport, and community events.

BackPass is led by people who combine frontline social work, digital delivery, and community partnerships.
Dom Porteous
CEO
Dom has five years of experience as a social worker, supporting asylum seekers, refugees, and young people. He leads safeguarding partnerships and drives outreach with Local Authorities and partners.
Karim Allaouat
CTO
Karim brings a computer science background and senior consulting experience to BackPass. He focuses on the technology, and works with partners and Local Authorities to keep the product evolving for everyone.
Will Hardie-Brown
CFO
Will brings a wealth of experience in executive and operational management from the social-impact startup world. With a history of driving sustainable growth, Will is focused on building the internal frameworks that will allow BackPass to scale its impact.
Ella Porteous
Creative Director
Ella is an artist and printmaker with professional experience in the charity and community sector, supporting women and children. Her work spans illustration, lino printing and apparel design, and she brings that hands-on, creative eye to everything BackPass makes.

Idea takes shape
Defined the BackPass concept with early input from Local Authorities, partners, and Young People.
First grant funding
Secured our first grant to support the initial build and early partnerships.
Incorporated
Formally incorporated BackPass to support delivery, safeguarding, and long-term growth.
First partner onboarded
Welcomed Watershed as our first venue partner, donating tickets through the BackPass portal.
First successful event
Young People supported by Local Authorities used donated tickets to attend their first BackPass event.
